Stephen Arthur Jennings was a
mathematician who made significant breakthroughs in the study ofmodular representation theory , harv|Jennings|1941. His advisor wasRichard Brauer , and his studentRimhak Ree discovered two infinite series of finite simple groups known as theRee group s.
