The album received fairly good reviews with critics, some stating that it was a much more improved version of "XX". Others said that it was the first proper album of Mushroomhead to review, as "XX" was only a "

The track "Crazy" which appears at the end of the track thirteen was originally promoted as a
Best Buy exclusive. It is however present on all copies of the album regardless of the store in which the album was purchased.British copies of the album include the song "Treason" and the instrumental "Loop #6". Enhanced copies are said to have "Along the Way" and "Simpleton" as bonus tracks available for download through a CD identification process from a secret page on Universalmotown.com. Since Mushroomhead left Universal, the page has been removed.
