Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAGKS) is the
intellectual and knowledge-enhancement expression of the overall objective ofTalal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization .Targeting the
Arab Youth and striving at the aid ofhuman resource development, TAGKS aims to grant modern tools and the latest in theInformation andCommunication Technology (ICT) field. Its mission being the delivery of a larger number of well-rounded local professionals, with the competitive edge resulting from international exposure, all provided by a one-stop-hub supported by the “Senator of Regional Corporations”.Supporting the
Arab youth in building their professional capacities, reshaping their skills, and upgrading their qualifications is TAGKS's mission.The beginning was in theHashemite Kingdom of Jordan and there are plans to establish other branches for TAGKS in otherArab countries.Goals and Objectives
The goals of TAGKS are as follows:
*Establishing one-stop-shop for theArab youth community where they have: free-of-charge high speedInternet access; access to wide range of up to date knowledge channels and resources; continuous professional support for their educational activities; and comfortable well-chosen locations that maximize their productivity.
*Promoting the “knowledge -based community” concept to local and regional institutions.
*Utilizing the extensive experience of existing sister companies to initiate the project on solid ground.
*Assisting the youth in building theircareer path throughprofessional advisoryservices .
*Providing low cost and high qualitystudent services to the youth community as ancillaryservices .
*Providing business relatedtraining courses that manifestacademic efforts.
*Providing ongoing flexible support activities.Services
TAGKS offers the following facilities and services:
*Provide full access toInternet andcomputer applications , as a support to publicly available resources, and combined with other closely related services not provided elsewhere. This service is to be provided free of charge and will benefit dedicated students with limited resources and unlimited ambition.
*Free access todigital libraries,publishing houses and otherknowledge resources. This will allow for the targeted free-flow ofinformation including up-to-date research and articles not available otherwise. This in addition to available support on the basis ofscientific research and the basics of itspresentation .
*Holding training programs provided byTalal Abu-Ghazaleh Training (TAGITraining) and other member companies ofTalal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) , in order to assist in the information overlay to wider and younger strata of thesociety .
*A fully equipped training facility available for rental to similar societies and other educational facilities, also through which TAGKS will set-up its in-houseworkshops and seminars.
*Acareer building hub, withcareer consultancy andresume building capacitycenter , to provide aservice that is currently not widely available through local educational centers. The motivation behind this incubator is to enhance the marketability of young talents and provide advice on career building requirements.
*TAGKS also provides for in-house printing,design anddocument production facilities available for use at nominal fees, as part of its top quality, complete service package.References
