Lacock is a village in
Wiltshire ,England , 3 miles (5 km) from the town of Chippenham. The village is owned almost in its entirety by the National Trust, and attracts many visitors by virtue of its unspoiled appearance.History

Most of the houses are 18th century or earlier in construction. There is a 14th century
tithe barn , a medieval church, and an inn dating from the 15th century and an 18th century lock-up.Together with the Abbey, the village was given to the National Trust in 1944 by Matilda Talbot.
Film set
The village has been used as a film and television set, notably for the 1995
BBC production of "Pride and Prejudice", the 2007BBC production of "Cranford". It has also appeared in some of theHarry Potter films.The crew returned to the village in October along with some of the main cast includingSir Michael Gambon andDaniel Radcliffe to shoot some scenes for the sixth filmHarry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince . Close by isLacock Abbey , also owned by the National Trust, who market the Abbey and the village together as "Lacock Abbey, Fox Talbot Museum & Village."List of Productions
