MTV Effect

The MTV Effect is a social phenomenon suggested by international scholar Amy B. Frumin, an International Affairs Fellow of the Council on Foreign Relations. The "MTV Effect" received further national attention when Ms. Frumin was interviewed on the CBS Evening News, broadcast May 11, 2008. The MTV Effect has aspects touching sociology, psychology, and social history as well as politics and media studies.
