Air Gumbo is a planned low-cost airline that has been in a launching phase for over 10 years. It was founded on February 20, 1998 by Ralston Champagnie and despite filing for approval with the United States Department of Transportation in 2007, the airline has yet to commence operations. The airline plans to differentiate itself from other low-cost airlines by serving gumbo onboard and playing jazz music in passenger waiting areas. Aircraft are planned to be painted like a huge bowl of crawfish filled gumbo.
