College Media Advisers

College Media Advisers (CMA), formerly known as National Council of College Publication Advisers, was established in 1956 and is a United States national association of higher education professionals which exists to promote established standards and practices in college media advising. Most colleges and universities in the United States are a member of CMA or have an adviser that is a member.

The top staff executive is Ron Spielberger. The organization is run by a Board of Directors, composed of an elected President and Vice President, an appointed Secretary and Treasurer, the immediate Past President, and the Vice President for Member Services.

President: Sally Renaud, Eastern Illinois University

Vice President: David Swartzlander, Doane College

Secretary: Bonnie Thrasher

Treasurer: Annette Forbes, Iowa State University

Vice President/Member Services: Chris Poore, University of Kentucky

Immediate Past President: Ken Rosenauer, Missouri Western State University

The group is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee on the campus of the University of Memphis.
