Brendan James is a singer-songwriter and pianist from Derry, New Hampshire. James attended Pinkerton Academy, in Derry, New Hampshire. He graduated fromUNC-Chapel Hill where he sang in thea cappella group the Clef Hangers [http://blogsarchive.newsobserver.com/beat/index.php?title=brendan_james&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1] , in the spring of 2002. In the Fall of 2007 Brendan self-released his EP "The Ballroom Break-In" produced by Mikal Blue (past credit: Colbie Caillat) he charted on iTunes Top 100. The EP title "The Ballroom Break-In" is symbolic of the days when he first moved to NY -- he could not afford practice space so he would sneak into hotel ballrooms to practice on their pianos. After the success of his EP, he would sign to Decca Records by legendary A&R Dave Novik.
