James Houser

James Houser

James Houser is a Minor League Baseball player in the Tampa Bay Rays organization. He plays the Pitcher position. He currently plays for the Montgomery Biscuits in the Southern League.

Minor League Career

James was drafted in the 2nd Round (38th Overall) of the 2003 MLB Draft. He reported to the Princeton Devil Rays team in the Appalachian League, finishing 2003 with a record of 0-4 and a 3.73 ERA. In 2004, he played for the Charleston RiverDogs, finishing with a 3-1 record and a career-low 2.20 ERA. In 2005, he played for the Southwest Michigan farm team and had an 8-8 record and 3.76 ERA. For the 2006 season, he played for the Visalia Oaks, having a career-best record of 12-4, but with a 5-4 ERA. During the 2007 season, he played for Montgomery, finishing with a 5-4 record and a 3.65 ERA. He started the season with them this year, and currently is 0-1 with a 2.45 ERA.
