"The Kikiki Kid" is an episode of the American television detective series "Hawaiian Eye".

ynopsis

Buddy Keene is an ambitious singer currently headlining at a second-rate club in Honolulu. When prominent entertainment columnist Karen Ward comes to town, he stages a fake accident in front of the Hawaiian Village Hotel in order to meet her. Buddy romances the older lady, hoping she will mention him favorably in her newspaper column. Cab driver Kim, who witnessed the accident, tells Tom Lopaka that Buddy is "kikiki", a big cheat.

Lopaka warns Karen Ward about Buddy, but is ignored. However, when he tells her about seeing Buddy ill-treating a girl named Ellie, Karen Ward visits her, and learns that Ellie is his wife. Buddy, convinced his romance with Karen Ward will propel him to the Big Time, tries to get Ellie to give him a divorce. She refuses, so he strangles her. Later, when Karen Ward visits him at the nightclub to say goodbye and good riddence, he attacks her as well, but is stopped by Tom Lopaka and the police.
