Victor Ambros is an American molecular biologist from
Vermont , and professor at theUniversity of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester,Massachusetts .He received the
Gairdner Foundation International Award in 2008 for the discovery and identification of single-strandedRNA molecules later calledmicroRNA .
