Vel ( _ru. Вель) is a river in Arkhangelsk Oblast in Russia. It is a left tributary of the Vaga (in the basin of the Northern Dvina). It is 223 km in length. The drainage basin is 5,390 km² and the average discharge is 47.7 m³/s.
Its main tributaries are the Podyuga and the Shonosha. The Vel has its sources in the bogs south of the settlement of Konosha. The river flows in a generally easterly direction. The town of Velsk is situated at the Vel's confluence with the Vaga River.
