dancing , but the beautiful icon Selda, a young woman who grows tired of her status as Finland’s reigning “Queen of the Tango.” When disaster strikes, the whole town is affected, and Oleg sets off on a journey to find happiness.Cast

This production marked the return of director William Savage to
The Flea Theater . He was the resident director there for the 2001/2002 season, assisting Jim Simpson on "Billy the Kid ", and directing his own adaptation of theWorld War II memoir "Tent # 5". In July, 2002, he was assistant director to Neil Pepe on the Williamstown Theatre Festival’s premiere ofEric Bogosian ’s "Red Angel", featuring Mr. Bogosian and Dagmara Dominczyk. His Williamstown directing credits include Mark Twain's "Support Your Local Police", as well as the original works "Renaissance" and "Fancy". Most recently, he directed the new play "Peacock" at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School.Playwright
Playwright Matthew Hancock is the author of several stage adaptations, including "Window", based on the short story by
Haruki Murakami , and "The Body Artist", taken from thenovella byDon DeLillo . He was assistant director to Loretta Grecco on Ruben Santiago-Hudson’s acclaimed "Lackawanna Blues" at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in August, 2002. In January, 2003, he directed the Flesh and Bone Theater’s inaugural production of Kōbō Abe’s "The Green Stockings" at Urban Stages. He has co-authored new adaptations of "A Clockwork Orange " and "Carrie: The Musical", both of which debuted at Williamstown in July, 2002.
