] was a "Minekaze"-class destroyer, built for the Imperial Japanese Navy following World War I. Advanced for their time, these ships served as first-line destroyers throughout the 1920s and 1930s until gradually replaced by newer types.

Obsolescent by World War II, "Sawakaze" performed patrol and convoy escort duties from Yokosuka from 1942 through 1944.
