12th Missouri Volunteer Infantry

The 12th Missouri Volunteer Infantry was a unit organized during the American Civil War. The majority of the soldiers in the 12th were descendents of German immigrants. This intermixed German-American unit also saw a large portion of its ranks filled by volunteers from Illinois.
