Gananda, New York, is a small "master
planned community " in Wayne County,New York , about a half-hour outside of the city ofRochester, New York . It consists of a small portion of the adjoining towns of Walworth and Macedon.It mostly consists of housing developments and a small school system, with individual elementary (named Richard Mann Elementary), middle, and high schools (Ruben A. Cirillo HS). The school has won some acclaim for its drama program, which has won several awards in the state's "Stars of Tomorrow" awards program. In
2004 , it won several awards, including best show in its class for its performance of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat "; and in2005 it won Best Supporting Actor and Actress in its class for the roles of Kenickie and Rizzo in its production of "Grease".
