Articulated (education)

Articulated (education)

Articulated is an educational pathway offered by Australian TAFE Institutes that allows a student to study for a higher qualification through a series of steps made of increasing level qualifications.

For example, a student may study, in the same or associated field, along the following path with each step providing direct credit for the next level of qualification.

= Certificate I - Certificate II - Certificate III - Diploma - Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree - Degree=

Where the standard process of obtaining a degree can take over three years of study and accumulated HECS, an articulated pathway can allow a student to complete a degree course in less time and only one year of HECS. Recognition of Prior Learning can further reduce on site study time. Students can also withdraw at any stage, leaving with the highest level achieved qualification.
