Kirkcaldy United F.C.

Kirkcaldy United FC started life as Kirkcaldy Amateurs in 1901-02 season. Then after just two seasons it was decided that they become Kirkcaldy's second senior club (Raith Rovers being the other).

They played their early games on an open field at Overton Park. In 1905 they moved into their new home, a purpose built park named Scott's Park (It no longer exist, it was situated at what was Scottish & Newcastle's Warehouse now Aldi's at McKenzie Street).

Twice winners of the Fife Cup (1906-07 & 1912-13)

2nd March 1907: Kirkcaldy United 3 - 1 Cowdenbeath at Stark's Park, Att: 2,160 'Gate' £36

30th April 1913: Kirkcaldy United 5 - 2 East Fife at Stark's Park, Att: 2,000

Joint Winners of the Northern League 1906-07 with Dundee 'A'

They played in numerous leagues, (Northern, Central & Eastern).

Alas, they were to disband at the end of season 1915-16

In 1908 it was proposed by Raith Rovers F.C. that both clubs look into the possibility of amalgamation.
