Rotherham New Life Christian Centre

Rotherham New Life Christian Centre is a church based in the Canklow area of Rotherham, England. It is led by senior minister, John Andrews, who has written a number of books on the Christian lifestyle. Services each Sunday regularly draw 250 attendees at its Canklow Road site. The church also has two satellite meeting in the Rawmarsh and Thurcroft areas of the town.

History

The church, which is affiliated with the Assemblies of God, was founded in the mid-1980s, and was initially made up of members from the Rotherham Assemblies of God church based on Station Road, Masbrough. In 1986, the church bought it's current building on Canklow Road, from Lillekers Engineering Ltd. In September 2001, the church appointed a full time youth worker and in September 2006, the pastoral team was expanded with the addition of Adrian Dexter.

Pastoral Care

To address the problem of how to give pastoral care to a growing and diverse congregation as well as provide a means for new people to become a part of the church, Rotherham New Life has developed a Pastoral Care Team. As well as welcoming visitors, the PCT provide pastoral support during the week through home and hospital visits.

ervices

Rotherham New Life conducts up to five services on a Sunday: two family services in the morning; with afternoon services at the satellite or mission congregations in Rawmarsh, Thurcroft and Canklow. Rotherham New Life holds an early morning prayer meeting on a Wednesday and also a network of small groups meet across the region which meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
