List of Soul Eater episodes

This is a list of episodes of the Japanese animated television series "Soul Eater". The episodes are directed by Takuya Igarashi, and produced by Bones, Aniplex, Dentsu, Media Factory, and TV Tokyo; Bones and Aniplex were responsible for the animation and music production respectively. The episodes are based on the "Soul Eater" manga series by Atsushi Okubo, and plan to adopt the source material over fifty-one episodes.cite web|url=http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=9070|title=Soul Eater (TV)|publisher=Anime News Network|accessdate=2008-04-14] cite web|url=http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/contents/souleater/staff/index.html|title=TV Tokyo: Soul Eater - Staff, Cast|language=Japanese|publisher=TV Tokyo|accessdate=2008-04-14] The plot of the episodes follows Maka Albarn, a "meister" of the Shinigami Technical School, and her living weapon, Soul Eater, as she seeks to make the latter into a "death scythe" through absorbing the souls of evil humans.

The episodes started airing on April 7, 2008 on TV Tokyo. The episodes also aired at later dates on TV Aichi, TV Hokkaido, TV Osaka, TV Setouchi, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting. Four pieces of theme music are used for the episodes; one opening theme and three closing themes. The opening theme is "Resonance" by T.M.Revolution. The first closing theme is "I Wanna Be" by Stance Punks until episode thirteen, the second closing theme is "Style" by Kana Nishino for episodes fourteen through twenty-six, and the third closing theme is Nihongo|"Bakusō Yume Uta"|爆走夢歌 by Soul'd Out's Diggy-Mo from episode twenty-seven onwards. Three DVD compilations have been announced for release by Wint.
