Big Four (Australian Football League)

Big Four (Australian Football League)

The Big Four (or 'The big four') refers to the AFL clubs of Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon, and Richmond. This term grew due to all four teams clubs rivalries, star players, large supporter bases, and time in the competition. Games between these clubs are exclusively played at the MCG, where crowds of more than 50,000 is frequent.
