Kullawada

Kullawada

The Kullawada is a Bolivian folklore dance. Originating in the Lake Titicaca region of the highlands of Bolivia, it is traditional among alpaca and sheep wool weavers. The dancers wear colorful, elaborately decorated costumes for the dance, which is meant to represent the social class of weavers and textile workers. For this reason the dancers use a little spinning wheel as a symbol of the dance.
