Simon Walton (or Simon de Wanton) was a medieval Bishop of Norwich.

Life

A royal justice, he was elected to the see of Norwich on June 4 1257 and was consecrated on March 10 1258. He was enthroned at Norwich Cathedral on March 17 1258. [http://british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=33866 British History Online Bishops of Norwich] accessed on October 29, 2007]

Pope Clement IV order Simon to find a coadjutor on September 29 1265, as the bishop was sick and unable to perform his duties. He died on January 2 1266.Powicke "Handbook of British Chronology" p. 242]
