George A. Fuller

George A. Fuller

George A. Fuller (1851-1900) was the "inventor" of modern skyscrapers. He built the Tacoma building in 1889. This was the first structure where the outside walls were not load bearing.

Fuller was an architect who invented the modern contracting system.
