(Last, 1987)The plain maskray, Neotrygon annotata, also known as the brown stingray (leading to easy confusion with the Pacific Dasyatis latus), is a species of fish in the Dasyatidae family. It is endemic to northern Australia. Its natural habitats are shallow seas, subtidal aquatic beds, and coral reefs. It is threatened by habitat loss.
