Pucci Dellanno (born Aurora Emanuela Dellanno on 17 December 1947) is an Italian singer, promoter, talent scout, shameless self-publicist and LOOK AT ME!!! figure in the music industry. She is based in Liverpool, England.

She would like to think she is one of the foremost figures in the UK independent music promotions scene, and is well known for her passionate approach to talent scouting.

Career

Born in Rome, Italy, on 17 December 1947, Pucci moved to Brighton, England in the mid '80s and was active in the theatre, ballet and rock concert scene. She lived in Brighton for 5 years and graduated at the University of Sussex.

Pucci returned to England in 2001 and started a successful career as an internationally recognised IT specialist and lecturer. She lived for a few years in Brighton and is currently based in Liverpool, where she moved in 2005.

Alongside her IT career, Pucci is renown as a talent scout and promoter, in the Indie music scene.

The singing days

Pucci returned to Italy from England at the end of the '80s and had a string of hit recordings as Bridget Grace, culminating with one of her accapella pieces being turned into the voice of the Pin-Up Girls remix of True Faith's classic 1991 dance house hit "Take Me Away". The promoter and talent scout

In 2004 Pucci started a series of extremely successful (in their own back yard) ndie rock music promotion events, under the moniker of Spring Fling Promotions.

Pucci always states categorically that every penny she made from these events went immediately back to the bands (although this has not been verified), and that every band would be paid on the night, which immediately distinguished her from other promoters.

These events took place throughout England (e.g. Brighton, London, Newcastle, Liverpool) and acts featured include The Libertines, Special Needs, Lisa Moorish's Kill City, The Bandits, Tramp Attack, The Pedantics, Towers of London, Black Wire, The Cribs, The Cubical, Kill The Young, Metro Riots, Junkbox, New York's Elefant, Dustin's Bar Mitzvah, Selfish Cunt, The Paddingtons, The Blue Van. She also provided rock superstars Arctic Monkeys with their first ever concert outside of their home county of Yorkshire, in January 2005 [ [http://www.myspace.com/cuckoosnestnewcastle MySpace.com - The Cuckoo's Nest - 27 - Fille - www.myspace.com/cuckoosnestnewcastle ] ] , and arranged for their now famous first London appearance at her friends' Flook's event Upstairs at the Garage, on 18 February 2005.

Her events became renown as a showcase of the best new talent, and were always extremely well frequented by A&R from the major label and other musicians.

Pucci collaborated with other successful promoters, such as Bandwagon in Liverpool, Death Disco and Flook in London, The Omnibus in Carlisle, to exchange artists and support young touring bands.

Pucci also organised charity events to raise money in aid of the south east Asiatic Tsunami of December 2004, in Liverpool and London, called Tsunday.

Pucci writes as a reviewer for live music and new releases for a range of fanzines, from Subba Cultcha to Screaming Tarts.

Pucci is now retired from promotions, although she is still very active in the mediation and tour arrangement for a large number of artists.

Party girl

Pucci is a well-known figure at most major music events in London, Liverpool and other parts of the country, where she often appears alongside her circle of close friends (although this closeness is not neccesarily reciprocated)(Rock mogul Alan McGee, Client, Carl Barât of Dirty Pretty Things and his promoter girlfriend Annalisa, Didz Hammond of Dirty Pretty Things and his partner, BBC Radio music producer Anna Richards, Gary Powell and Anthony Rossomando of Dirty Pretty Things, Arctic Monkeys producer Mike Crossey, Pete Wylie,Jesus, John Lennon, Fernado Torres, Kylie, Dave McCabe of The Zutons, Nick Hodgson of Kaiser Chiefs, rock photographer Roger Sargent, Tim Burgess of The Charlatans and his wife photographer Michelle Karma, etc.)
