Bob Lord is a composer/producer, bassist for the experimental rock trio Dreadnaught, and music director for the
NHPR /Music Hall series "Writers on a New England Stage". Based inNew Hampshire in theUnited States , Lord maintains an active career in custom composition, supervision, and audio production for film and other media, and also produces for the Boston-based classical labelMMC Recordings , where he works with composerWilliam Thomas McKinley and Grammy-winning clarinetistRichard Stoltzman .Performances
With Dreadnaught, Bob has shared a stage with
John Entwistle (The Who ),Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel ,King Crimson ),NRBQ , Jim Weider (The Band ),California Guitar Trio , and theYoung Dubliners . In 2005, the group began a prominent stint as house band for theNew Hampshire Public Radio series "Writers on a New England Stage" at the Music Hall in Portsmouth, where it has performed withAlan Alda ,Dan Brown ,Doris Kearns Goodwin ,John Updike ,Elmore Leonard ,Anita Diamant , andMitch Albom . The series has attracted international coverage and has been featured in press outlets such as "The Today Show" and "Good Morning America "; the 2007 season includesPulitzer Prize winnerRichard Russo and renowned documentary filmmakerKen Burns .Full-length releases
