Central California Ballet Company

The Central California Ballet was the Central Valley's first semi-professional dance company. It was created by Diane K. Mosier, also founder of the Lively Arts Foundation, which sponsors the CCB.

Members of the company, consist mainly of teenagers and young adults employing professional guest artists for every performance and bringing in choreographers from major and established companies to challenge and inspire its young dancers.

Company members have appeared on stage with current and former principal dancers from San Francisco Ballet, New York City Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Joffrey Ballet, and the Kirov/Mariinsky Ballet.

Repertoire

Every Year, the CCB puts on a production of their own version of E. T. A. Hoffmann's "The Nutcracker", which features a backstory featuring, the "Mouse Queen."
