Jed Rubenfeld is the Robert R. Slaughter Professor of Law at
Yale Law School . He is an expert onconstitutional law ,criminal law ,privacy , and theFirst Amendment .Biography
Rubenfeld is a "
summa cum laude " graduate ofPrinceton University (A.B. , 1980) and a "magna cum laude " graduate ofHarvard Law School (J.D. , 1986). He also studiedtheater in theDrama Division of theJuilliard School between 1980-1982. Rubenfeld clerked for JudgeJoseph T. Sneed on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in 1986-1987. After hisclerkship , he worked as anassociate attorney atWachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and as anAssistant U.S. Attorney in theSouthern District of New York . He joined theYale Law School faculty in 1990 and was appointed to a full professorship in 1994. Rubenfeld has also taught as avisiting professor at both theStanford Law School and theDuke University School of Law .Recently, Rubenfeld made his debut into the world of
fiction . His firstnovel , "The Interpretation of Murder", was published byHenry Holt & Co. in September, 2006, became a number one bestseller in the United Kingdom, and has sold over a million copies world-wide. Rubenfeld is married to Yale Law School professorAmy Chua , author of the bookWorld on Fire .Books
