Olympus Twelve

The Olympus Twelve (オリンポス十二神, Orinposu Jūnishin^?) are a group of twelve Mega-level Shaman Digimon^[1] modeled after the Roman version of the Twelve Olympians, the "Dii Consentes". The group is primarily a facet of the Digimon Card Game, although Merukimon is a major character in Digimon Data Squad anime^[2] and the four then revealed members appeared in the game Digimon World Data Squad. Neptunmon, Mervamon, and Apollomon appear in Digimon Xros Wars, although not stated as members of the Olympus Twelve.

The Olympus Twelve possess power rivaling that of the Royal Knights, the guardian deities of the Net, and although they defend the same domain, they are shadowy beings who maintain a neutral standpoint towards the incidents that arise within the Digital World.^[3]

Only six members of this group have been identified thus far.

Apollomon Apollomon (アポロモン) Level Mega Appears in Digimon Xros Wars Voiced by Hideyuki Tanaka Apollomon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Apollo, the Greek god of the sun. One of the "Olympus Twelve", he conceals a solar-class flame energy. This energy has a terrible ability to smelt all substances, and its almost heartless fervor and pride are barely restrained.[4] Digimon Xros Wars In Digimon Xros Wars, Apollomon is the strongest of the Seven Death Generals. Originally, he was a kind-hearted ruler of the Bright Zone until the Bagra Army invaded. During the fight, Apollomon was wounded before Bagramon used a virus to corrupt Apollomon and made him into his servant. Ruling Bright Land after the reformation of the Digital World, Apollomon is forced to keep his people in chains to ensure the Code Crown feeds off their negative energy.

Dianamon Dianamon (ディアナモン) Level Mega Dianamon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Diana, the Roman goddess of the moon. One of the "Olympus Twelve", she presides over ice and water, and is able to fight even when her surroundings are below absolute zero. Just as the moon has two sides, light and dark, her personality is two-sided nature with her beauty concealing a terrible power.[5]

Marsmon Marsmon (マルスモン) Level Mega Appears in Digimon Xros Wars Voiced by Eiji Takemoto Marsmon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Mars, the Roman god of war. One of the enigmatic "Olympus Twelve", he is a Digimon war god in the shape of a panther-man. Marsmon is familiar with all the ways in the world to fight dirty without weapons, but at the same time he possesses absolute self-confidence regarding friendship through one-on-one combat. He makes use of basic wrestling techniques, but he is strongly concerned about victory and glory, so when push comes to shove he won't hesitate to use concealed weapons like his "Toria Knuckle" or "Metal Korutonosu". However, Marsmon exhibits his real power with his bare hands and feet.[3] Digimon Xros Wars In Digimon Xros Wars, Marsmon is Apollomon's second in command. He was killed by Apollomon after the virus implanted within his leader took over.

Merukimon Merukimon (メルクリモン Mercurymon) Level Mega Appears in Digimon Data Squad Voiced by (Jp:) Kousei Hirota (En:) Richard Epcar Merukimon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Mercury, the Roman god of messengers and commerce. One of the Olympus Twelve, Merukimon is a Digimon god of genius who boasts of being the fastest in the Digital World. He is able to outstrip the fastest runner, becoming impossible to perceive with the naked eye, so he is said that all images of Merukimon in records and documents are just afterimages. He hates to stay in the same place and is always wandering the Digital World, making him hard to find at times. Merukimon excels in Shamanism, and his favorite knife "Aztec" is able to slice through space.[6] Digimon Data Squad Main article: List of characters in Digimon Data Squad

Minervamon Minervamon (ミネルヴァモン) Level Mega Minervamon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom. One of the Olympus Twelve, she is a Digimon god in the shape of a maiden. Though having an extremely short physique, she possesses superhuman strength to freely wield her huge blade "Olympia", which is as large as her body. Though having a cheerful personality due to her childlike innocence, she can get into a bad mood which causes selfish and willful behavior that others are completely unable to help cope with.[7] Mervamon Mervamon (メルヴァモン) Level Mega Appears in Digimon Xros Wars Voiced by Ryoko Shiraishi Partner(s) Nene Amano Mervamon is a God Man Digimon who is the grown-up form of Minervamon, having a more a mature personality. As a result of Minervamon's desire to become elegant, Mervamon embodies elegance in battle and out of it. Her Olympia sword is reformed into the stronger "Oylmpia Kai" while her left-arm shield becomes "Medulla" with a serpent extending from it. Digimon Xros Wars In Digimon Xros Wars, Mervamon is originally a freedom fighter against the Bagra Army's Death General Zamielmon before joining Xros Heart under Nene.

Neptunmon Neptunmon (ネプトゥーンモン Neptunemon) Level Mega Appears in Digimon Xros Wars Voiced by Mitsuaki Madono Neptunmon is a God Man Digimon whose name and design are derived from Neptune, the Roman god of the sea. One of the Olympus Twelve, he is a Digimon god of the sea which presides over all marine Digimon. Though the Scalemail which covers Neptunemon's body is made of "Chrome Digizoid" converted into the "Blue Digizoid" which excels in agility, he prefers to remove it when possible due to his poor speed in the water. Neptunmon constructed a castle to reside within, the "Abyss Sanctuary", at the far depths of the sea, so that only those who can withstand the water pressure of the extreme depths may enter.[8] Digimon Xros Wars In Digimon Xros Wars, Neptunmon is the leader of the Bagra Army's Island Zone invasion force.
