Kot Karam Khan

Established in 1896 by the Karamzai family, the small town of Kot Karam Khan was previously known as Kot Nizam Shah or Shah Kot. Kot Karam Khan has electricity, a small digital telephone exchange, a basic health unit and a small bazaar.

Famous personalities in Kot Karam Khan were
* Sardar Sadiq Mhammed Khan (1896-1984), claimed to be the first Karamzai baby born in this new town. First Chairman after declaring as it a union council from government. Won in 1963.
* Sardar Alamgir Khan(1907-29 December 1973) was the man behind giving vision of local politics to his small family, contesting for legislative Council seat against gigantic makhdoom zada hassan mahmood in 1951.
* Sardar Minhaj Khan S/O Sardar Sadiq Mohammed khan mazari (1944-1988) was elected Chairman of the union Council in 1979. Elected member of District Council in 1987 after competing his opponents with huge votes.
* Sardar Lutfullah Khan(1945-18 April 2002) was the first graduate in sub clan karamzai. Also served as district attorney and deputy director anti-corruption in Multan.
* Sardar Shakeel Khan(died 2 January 2003)
* Sardar Zameer Khan (1950-25 March 2006) When died serving as Assistant Food controller in provincial food department in Rahim yar Khan.
* Sardar Maqsoom Khan(died 17 January 2007). Was a great man with marvellous sense of humour. Was serving as president Sindh Suzuki Assosisation in Karachi.

Kot Karam Khan is now a union council and also center of union Council, 32 kilometers from district headquarter Rahim Yar Khan. The present Nazim is ishtiaq Ahmed khan mazari, an electrical engineer from Uet Lahore. Contest two times and won both turns.
