Fisher Power Station, Tasmania

Fisher Power Station is a hydroelectric power station on the Mersey Forth catchment in Tasmania. It has one Pelton turbine, with a generating capacity of 43.2 MW of electricity. It was commissioned in 1973 it is fed but the waters of lake Mackenzie (fed by th fisher river) located in the western tiers it is feed though a tunnel and pipeline (a drop of 650m) and it discharges into lake Parangana on the Mersey river
