4th Regiment of Front Guard

The 4th Regiment of Front Guard ( _pl. 4. regiment przedniej straży) was a military unit of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Poland. Initially formed in 1733 as a private cavalry unit of Potocki family, it was initially composed mostly of Tatars. Incorporated into the Saxon army during the reign of Wettin dynasty in Poland, in 1764 it became part of the Polish-Lithuanian Army. Until 1794 it was commanded by Maj. Gen. Bielak. Under his command it took part in the Warsaw Uprising (1794).
