Srirampur is a census town under Purbasthali police station [ [http://www.wbcensus.gov.in/DataTables/01/Table-3.htm District-wise list of stautory towns] ] of Kalna subdivision in Bardhaman in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Geography

Srirampur is located at coord|22.95|N|88.02|E| [ [http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IN/28/Srirampur.html Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Srirampur] ] . It has an average elevation of 19 metres (62 feet).

It is located on the agriculturally rich alluvial plains between the Bhagirathi, Ajay and Damodar rivers. Srirampur has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 63%.
