Environmental vandalism

Environmental vandalism

Environmental vandalism is a term used by some environmentalists to describe what they consider as the egregious or blatant destruction of delicate ecosystems, especially in violation of environmental protection laws. Illegal logging in designated protected areas is a commonly cited example. Other examples are pollution of rivers, streams etc with farm waste and polluting the atmosphere with Carbon dioxide through burning fossil fuel.
