He has handled numerous well publicized federal criminal cases, as well as many multi-million dollars personal injury matters.

Goolsby has the distinction of defending the first internet fraud case involving the manipulation of the stock market, one of the nation's largest health care fraud cases, as well as representing foreign nationals involved in a host of telemarketing frauds and money laundering.

Goolsby's first case of national fame came when he filed a lawsuit against the North Carolina Governor and Attorney General in an effort to overturn the state's unconstitutional prison cap. Goolsby filed the class action lawsuit on behalf of the thousands of crime victims "raped, murdered, robbed and abused by criminals who should have been incarcerated for past convictions, but were released early under North Carolina's prison cap law." Goolsby's efforts helped to abolish, not only North Carolina's prison cap, but prison population caps across the United States.

As a personal injury litigator, Goolsby has earned multi-million dollar rewards in trials and settlements for crime victims and individuals injured at the hands of negligent defendants.
