Frankeniaceae is the botanical name for a family of flowering plants. Such a family has been widely recognized by many taxonomists; it has commonly been assumed to be closely related to family Tamaricaceae.

The APG II system, of 2003 (unchanged from the APG system, of 1998) also recognizes such a family and assigns it to the order Caryophyllales in the clade core eudicots. The family consists of up to a hundred species in one genus ("Frankenia") or a few genera.

Species include:
*"Frankenia jamesii" - James' seaheath
*"Frankenia johnstonii" - Johnston's seaheath
*"Frankenia palmeri" - Palmer's seaheath
*"Frankenia pauciflora" - common seaheath or southern seaheath
*"Frankenia portulacifolia" - St. Helena tea
*"Frankenia pulverulenta" - European seaheath
*"Frankenia salina" - alkali seaheath
*"Frankenia thymifolia" - thyme seaheath
