Inter-parliamentary institution

An inter-parliamentary union is an organization of more than one national legislatures. Many assemblies referred to as parliamentary assemblies, such as the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, fall into this category. Inter-parliamentary unions generally have an assembly comprising members of national parliaments, rather than directly elected delegates.
