:"A second Battle of Helsingborg was fought on February 28, 1710"The Battle of Helsingborg was fought in 1362 between Danish and Hanseatic fleets. The fleets met on Øresund near Helsingborg, where the sound is most narrow. The Danish were led by Valdemar Atterdag. The Danish were victorious. The Hanseatic Cities lost twelve cogs since their admiral Johann Wittenburg had made the mistake, that he let too many men go to fight the Danes ashore and therefore there were to few left to defend his fleet on the sound. Wittenburg was trialed and decaptivated on his return to Lübeck because of his poor performance in this war. This war was brought to an end with a well negotiated peace treaty favourable agreed on 22. November 1365 in Vordingborg.
