Nancy Walbridge Collins

Nancy Walbridge Collins (born 1973) is a European Studies professor at Columbia University. Collins focuses on contemporary Europe and transatlantic affairs.^[1]

She is the Research Director of Columbia's European Institute, Chair of the Columbia Seminar on Modern Europe, and Faculty Advisor of Columbia’s Masters in Modern European Studies. Collins previously served as the Director of the Council for European Studies at Columbia University.

Collins is a senior fellow of the Atlantic Council,^[2] member of the American Council on Germany, Aspen Institute, Council on Foreign Relations, Foreign Policy Association, Intelligence and National Security Alliance, International Institute for Strategic Studies, and the U.S. Commission on Military History. Collins serves as a consultant for international studies at the U.S. Department of Education and as a Trustee of Learning Leaders and The Loomis Chaffee School (of which she is an alumna).

Education

Collins earned her B.A. from Georgetown University and M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of London.

Awards

She has received fellowships and grants from the Institute of Historical Research, Huntington Library, Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy, London Central Research Fund, Rockefeller Foundation, Royal Historical Society, Society for the Study of French History, Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and Yale University.
