Mount Gonzalez

Mount Gonzalez (77°11′S 144°33′W / 77.183°S 144.55°W / -77.183; -144.55) is a prominent mountain 1 nautical mile (1.9 km) east of Asman Ridge in the Sarnoff Mountains, Ford Ranges, Marie Byrd Land. Mapped by United States Antarctic Service (USAS) (1939–41) and by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos (1959–65). Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after Oscar Gonzalez, geologist, Universidad de Chile, a member of the United States Antarctic Research Program (USARP) Marie Byrd Land Survey 11, 1967-68.
