Mick Aldous is a former Canberra Raiders player during the years of 1984 and 1985. He played in positions in the back line such as center, wing and fullback. He played a total of 25 games for the 'Green Machine', in which he scored at a successful tryscoring rate, with 9 tries.
Aldous later became an Australian Schoolboys coach and Development Officer with the NSWRL.
In 2004, Aldous moved to France as a coaching consultant to the French RFL. In November, he coached France in the competitive 52-30 loss to the Kangaroos and a 24-20 loss to the Kiwis in Carcassonne.[1]
Also, before he played professional rugby league, Aldous played for St Joseph's College, Hunters Hill at the position of five-eight in the prestigious Rugby GPS competition. Aldous was a prolific schoolboy cricketer captaining NSW at schoolboy level before a career in first grade cricket for Waverley Cricket Club in Sydney, as a wicketkeeper batsman.[citation needed]
He also works as Recruitment Coordinator for the Canberra Raiders.
He currently teaches Designing and Technology at selective high school Sydney Boys High School. He serves as an aid in coaching requirements for cricket and rugby in this school.[2] [3]
