OneRiot is an advertising network for the realtime, social web. The company partners with brands and media companies to reach millions of users across Twitter apps, mobile apps, social networks and content discovery sites. OneRiot is a privately held company headquartered in Boulder, Colorado.

OneRiot’s network partners show OneRiot ads to their users. Partners include Twitter apps like Ubertwitter, Echofon and Seesmic; media sharing sites like yfrog, TwitGoo and TwitVid; popular realtime discovery services like Kosmix and Topsy; and a host of handpicked publisher sites like JPG Magazine. Campaigns on the OneRiot network include those from Stella Artois, Dr Martens, Sony Pictures, AOL, and Time Inc.

Leveraging the company's Trending Topics Engine alongside OneRiot's realtime indexing and ranking capabilities, they match advertiser content to trends as they emerge across the social web. The technology behind the advertising network then automatically constructs relevant ad creative on-the-fly to deliver a message that resonates with the realtime web audience. As a result, advertisers don't need to keep up with trends to generate new ad content or buy new keywords. The company claims this to be a major advantage to their advertising platform.

OneRiot was launched in November 2008[1] as a realtime search engine. The company's advertising network was introduced to market in September 2009[2] and wad made available by January 2010. Previously, OneRiot marketed the service as a browser extension called Me.dium that allowed users to socially browse the web and communicate with others in real-time[3].

The company is funded by Spark Capital, Appian Ventures, Commonwealth Capital Ventures, Brad Feld, and former CEO and current Chairman Kimbal Musk, and Elon Musk. The company currently has 28 employees[4].

In September 2011, the key assets of OneRiot were acquired by @WalmartLabs. Members of the OneRiot leadership team have relocated to California.
