DESQ (software)

DESQ was Quarterdeck Office Systems predecessor to DESQview, a task switching product called DESQ, which allowed users to switch between running programs. It was not very popular, and the task-switching market was primarily dominated by Software Carousel, a product with limited windowing capabilities. Quarterdeck revamped its package, bringing multitasking in, and adding TopView compatibility; it was renamed DESQview.
