Cochin Travancore War (1755–1756)

Cochin Travancore War (1755–1756)

The Cochin Travancore War (1755–1756) was a series of skirmishes between the Kingdom of Cochin and the Kingdom of Travancore on the Malabar Coast, South India.[1] As the Dutch stopped their active support to Cochin in the time, the Travancore stormed from the south, and occupied Thekkumkur, Vadakkumkur, and Purakkad. These attacks coincided with attacks of Zamorin of Calicut from the north to Cochin.[2]
