Tiwana (ਟਿਵਾਨਾ, ٹوانہ):- (History of Village Name) First name of Tiwana village is Tibbi Qazian. Malik sir Umer hayyat khan tiwana was a general in the British Army, so he took Tibbi Qazian in award.

Tiwana (ਟਿਵਾਨਾ, ٹوانہ) is a Punjabi caste that hails from the Punjab region of Pakistan and India. Tiwana is a Jat and Rajput clan. Tiwanas from Punjab in India are Sikhs, while Tiwanas from Punjab in Pakistan are Muslim Rajputs such as Malik Umar Hayat Khan.

Major General Nawab Sir Malik Mohammed Umar Hayat Khan GBE KCIE LVO (1875–1944), was a soldier of the Indian Empire, one of the largest landholders in the Punjab, and an elected member of the Council of State of India. He was also called Sir Malik Umar Hayat Khan Tiwana.

His son Baasher Tiwana set Punjab under age 16 record in 800 meters and was all Pakistan high school champion in middle distance running in 1979.
