Azim-us-Shan

Azim-us-Shan

Prince Azim-us-Shan, was the grandson of Aurangzeb and who was appointed Governor of Patliputra in 1703. It was prince Azim-us-Shan who re-nammed "Patliputra" to "Azimabad" in 1704. He named city after his name.
