Florida Association of Stock Car Automobile Racing

The Florida Association of Stock Car Autombile Racing is considered to be the Florida state version of the National Association for Stock Car Automobile Racing or simply "NASCAR" for short. It is intended to be a developmental league where 16- to 18-year old develop their skills on stock cars to prepare for racing at the "NASCAR Nationwide Series" and "NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series" level. Operating since the 1970s, various series under the "FASCAR" umbrella have officially operated in three race tracks: Columbia Motorsports Park (1/2 mile), New Smyrna Speedway (1/2 mile), and Orlando Speedworld (3/8 mile).
