The museum is housed in Parc Howard
mansion , acountry house built by the Buckley brewing family in 1885 and set in 27acre s ofpark land, now a civic park. In 1912 the mansion was given to the town by Sir Stafford and Lady Howard who had inherited it. The museum, park and site is now managed byCarmarthenshire County Council .The collection & exhibits
Parc Howard Museum and Art Gallery is best known for its large collection of Llanelli Pottery, 19th century in origin and locally made.
It also houses paintings, portraits and other art works and displays artifacts relating to the local area, its history and culture.
