INX Network

INX Network is a new television network company based in Mumbai, India. The company is founded and promoted by Indrani Mukerjea and was launched in 2007 through two companies — INX Media Pvt Ltd and INX News Pvt Ltd. The company aims at being the “The Force of Change in India’s Media Industry”

Indrani Mukerjea is the Founder and the CEO while Peter Mukerjea is the Chairman and CSO of INX Network. Indrani Mukerjea founded and headed a HR consultancy and placement business based in Kolkata called INX Services Pvt Ltd, having operations all over India.

INX Media has already launched a Hindi GEC called 9X and a music channel called 9Xm targeted at the 15 to 24 years age group of audience catering only Hindi film songs. Some of the most popular shows recently telecast on 9X were Yeh Hai Jalwa and Chak De Bachche. Among the current programmes a reality show called KAUN JEETEGA BOLLYWOOD KA TICKET, Chak De Bachche and the mythological epic Kahaani Hamaaray MAHAABHAARAT ki are the most popular besides daily soaps such us Mere Apne, Jiya Jale etc. The INX News Pvt Ltd has also gone on air with a premier English news channel NewsX — India’s first HDTV-ready news channel.

The company has plans to roll out eight new entertainment channels during 2008-2009. The channels will cater to the fiction and non-fiction segment tailored to suit the taste of various categories of Indian viewers with global quality productions.
